Duane Giroir called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. Other Board Members present were Joe Mares and Jim Thomas.  Kendall Phinney was not present due to his resignation. David Dorsett was absent due to a family emergency. Lindsay McGill representing Houston Community Management Services was also present.   2 former board members were present: Pat Adams and Billie Clarey. Phil Bossert and Nancy Farries with the Safety and Security Committee were present. Linda Thomas of the ACC Committee was present. Homeowners present included Chris Brunner, and Billie Gable.

Minutes – Joe Mares made a motion to approve the July 2009 minutes, Jim Thomas seconded to approve the June 8, 2009 minutes.  All in favor. Motion passed.

Financials – The financial report was reviewed by Jim Thomas.  It was requested for the words “sewer” to be removed from the GL description “Water/Sewer.”

Certified Letters – Lindsay McGill explained there were 13 certified letters mailed out in the month of August. There were 42 letters total mailed out.

Committee Reports
Landscaping –   There will be a special meeting in November to discuss the future of the detention pond, the camera system, and the brick fence restoration.  Next month is the landscape and flower change.  Keep an eye out on the flowers at Northfield.

ARC – Linda Thomas reported there were 3 ACC Applications (2 pools and 1 solar screens), all approved, and that Lindsay McGill turned in a 4th at the meeting.

Safety and Security Committee – Phil Bossert gave a presentation of the security cameras.

Communications & Social Committee – No report was given from this committee.

Open Forum
The mandatory CCI has been suspended until further notice.
Billie Clarey requested to be placed back on the Board of Directors.
Duane Giroir explained we will be having a special meeting in November to discuss the budget.
Phil Bossert expressed his appreciation for everyone’s work.
Billie Gable expressed her frustration for the removal of her daughter, Billie Clarey.

There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned to Executive Session at 8:01.

The next board of directors meeting will be on October 12, 2009
